A summit with an edge and panoramic view

Even from a distance, the Spielberghorn appears to have a character of its own. Not a “grass mountain” that blends in gently, but a peak with an edge and a clear shape. The closer you get, the more you feel this free-standing position, which opens up the view on all sides. At the top of the ridge, the hike suddenly becomes very present: step by step, concentrated, but always accompanied by vastness. And if you want to vary the descent again, you can take the high trail back a little and switch to the Maisereck via quieter passages before returning to the refreshment stop.
