Langlaufen
Silently gliding through the snow – cross country skiing
Thousands of ice crystals glitter and you glide silently through this silent world. Your own rhythm and the cold winter mountain air provide clear thoughts. If you are looking for the quieter kind of skiing, you will find it at the end of the valley in Hinterglemm. A small fine cross-country skiing offer with classic and skating prepared trails is waiting for you. Our recommendation for quiet cross-country skiing hours is the Talschluss-Höhenloipe, it leads along the Saalbach to Linglingalm.
Winterrodeln
Winter tobogganing in Hinterglemm: Hurtling down the valley
Whether you prefer to get up some speed or slide more gently for a more romantic experience, tobogganing is always fun. Speed back down the slope to the hotel. Our closest winter toboggan run is on the Reiterkogel mountain, only 300 m from the hotel. You can ride it slightly slower if you’re a beginner, so it’s suitable for children too. But if you like a bit of speed, you can tear down to the valley as fast as you like.
One of the highlights is night tobogganing, where you whizz towards the lights feeling the cool night air rushing through your hair.
Info: The Reiterkogel toboggan run is open daily from 8.30 am to 4.15 pm, and from 6 pm to 9.30 pm Mondays to Saturdays.
