Golden Gate Bridge & Tree Top Walk
Winter forest from above, that stays in your head
The Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps: the heart of the trail
The name says it all. The Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps in Hinterglemm is not just a suspension bridge, it is an experience for all the senses. 200 meters long, up to 42 meters above the valley floor and with an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
As you cross the bridge, you feel every step, see the snow-covered forest far below you and have the Salzburg mountain panorama all around you. For nature lovers, photographers and adventurers, this moment is a real highlight of a winter vacation in Hinterglemm.
The bridge is built in such a way that it is safe and accessible even in winter conditions. Even in light snowfall, crossing it has a very special, almost magical character.
The treetop path
The one-kilometre-long treetop trail begins at the Lindlingalm and the big aha awaits just before it: the 200-metre-long Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, which spans the head of the valley, up to 42 meters high.
The treetop path itself leads along a solid wooden structure up to 30 meters above the forest floor with stairs, towers, platforms and bridges. And in the middle of it all are play stations for young and old explorers.
