Zeller See
Swimming in Lake Zell: mountain water, panoramic views and a perfect summer’s day
The most beautiful spot: North shore in Zell am See
For an uncomplicated day of swimming, we recommend the north shore in Zell am See, as the entrance is pleasantly shallow and the atmosphere feels relaxed. On hot days, this is ideal for splashing around, playing and simply floating in the water.
If you prefer a lido with infrastructure: there are several lidos around Lake Zell that are ideal for families and anyone who appreciates a sunbathing lawn, diving facilities and restaurants.
Water temperature: refreshment that still feels good
Lake Zell remains a mountain lake, so it is fresh, but in midsummer it is really suitable for swimming. In summer, the recommended temperature is often around 20 to 23 degrees, on very warm days even up to 24 degrees.
